My art work automatically saves to .ora format

>:( i have a mac and i just started using krita. I tried saving it as .png, .tiff, .jpeg, but it changes to .ora automatically :(

I'm guessing you might have misunderstood the file type filter for the saved extension (that happened to me a lot at the beginning).

Did you actually type the extension in the filename ?

There's some bugs with the file-browser on the mac. Try appending with the extension you want to use.

We're trying to fix it, but it's one of those reasons that we consider the OSX build unfinished.

Mitsuko, if you want to save as png, try ending the filename with '.png', and '.jpg' for jpg.

i did but it says: you cannot save this document with extension ".png" at the end of the name. The required extension is ".ora".

This bug should be fixed in the latest build I made: http://files.kde.org/krita/osx/krita-2.8.79.21.dmg. Or rather, worked around, the bug is in Qt.
