The pressure works fine in the Hub, Rob. Even at the heaviest pressure, the line still draws evenly in the Hub test box. It is only in Krita that excess pressure breaks the line up. It isn't a problem: I'm happier with the pressure curve so that I don't need to press too hard to get the maximum level.

Hi Tony,
I did not answer right away because I was doing some testing. I tried different resolutions and brushes, but I am not experiencing any line breakup when varying pressure. Is your problem repeatable? Can you put your file up for download so we see the issue and try to replicate it on our SP's?

Weirdly enough, I did have line breakup on my intel-n-trig device, which was caused by a driver bug that I had to patch around...

Hm, I figured out where the vertical scrolling down comes from: it's the 'flicks' option in the control panel. Not something I particularly want to mess with from code, so I just disabled the flicks.

hi there thought id give an update on this as it might be useful at some point perhaps.

A couple of weeks ago i had issues with the 64bit version of krita. i could not get pressure sensitivity what so ever, then i installed the 32bit verson where pressure sensitivity was perfect. - i recently installed photoshop, and now weirdly i have perfect pressure sensitivity with the 64bit version of krita.

(i had the same issue with gimp and now that works as it should).

just thought id let you all know because this may or may not be a bug with krita, but i suspect its more of a microsoft, n-trig problem. :)

surface pro 3 i7
8gb ram 256 storage

cheers!

Just to warn that I'm not able to respond much for a while: getting ready to head off for trip to Australia. Will try to play some more with Krita while I'm out there and upload any problem files.

Just got my SP3 back so was able to play around a bit with Krita, one thing that bothered me, and I'm not saying it's a bug, is that even though I'm using the pen, it seems I can also draw lines using my finger, is this something I can turn off in Krita or is it a Surface Pro issue? I find that I can accidentally enable other tools while using the pen since my hand is making contact with other areas of the screen while working the pen, does anyone else have this problem and is there something I can do about it?

All this might be my unfamiliarity with the tablet experience, I've had hardly any time to acquaint myself with it so I'm pretty clumsy using it. I'm hoping that other users a little more savvy can drop some clues to a better user experience.

Also can we enlarge icon sizes of the UI in Krita when using the Surface Pro?

Right now, we cannot do palm detection from Qt, so I'm afraid that this is just not fixable at the moment. I've been trying to figure out how to make the toolbox follow the system settings and use bigger icons: one problem is that we don't have the bigger icons at the moment, so they would just be scaled up.

I am sure you will eventually figure out palm detection boudewijn, Don't let it make you crazy, it will come. Thanks for the effort put into that important feature.
