I know Krita can use MyPaint brushes, but how do I get Krita to find the brushes?

For example, I have directories of MyPaint 1.0 and 1.1 brushes that contains .myb brush files and associated .png preview images to display in the brush toolbox. Do I copy these files into a Krita directory? Or can I tell Krita about the directories in which to find the additional brushes?

Well, actually, while we have had at least two attempts to make Krita use mypaint brushes, we never shipped those plugins because they weren't good enough. And now the mypaint brush engine morphed from a C++ to a C library and we'll have to do another rewrite.

Ooo, sounds like a lot of work. Probably easier to try and manually copy the MyPaint brush settings over to Krita and tweak as needed...if that's even possible; I haven't looked that closely at the brush settings available in each program.

Thanks for the response.
