Hi everyone, I'm a fairly new Mac user, and I was quite pleased to see that there's a Mac version of Krita currently in development. Even though it crashed once, I'm glad to play with a somewhat functional version of the program on my new computer. I did have a question though, does anybody have any thoughts on what are the best settings for using Krita on a Macbook Pro? I noticed when I boosted the dpi up to 218, the resolution was a lot better on the drawings. Is there anything else I may want to change on the default settings?

Honestly... As the one doing the mac builds, I have no idea -- I've got a small, old and decrepit mac mini here attached to an ordinary monitor :-) I'm sure other Mac users would love to hear what you discover, though!

Thanks for letting me know. There isn't really any good free drawing/painting software currently available on Macs...(there's GIMP, but the drawing tools work slow, even when you adjust the environment settings)

I am definitely not a programmer, so unfortunately I cannot contribute to the development of the software from a coding perspective. However, I'll be more than glad to stay in touch with the development community, reporting glitches and giving feedback. I know optimization for retina display is something that would be very important to develop for eventually, if you want to attract artists to use the software. As for now, I'll play with some settings and see what I can do.

So whenever I make a penstroke, it ends up looking quite pixelated. I tried adjusting the visual settings, but nothing could really help it.
