About a week ago I solved the problem of the disappearing cursor on the canvas. Go to Settings> Configure Krita> Display> Disable OpenGL. Cursor appears again on the canvas so you can see what you're doing. I'm glad to be able to use Krita again and would be a real shame to have to abandon it.
Unfortunately, I don't have enough RAM and a sufficient CPU to handle more detailed works involving mulitiple layers while listening to podcast or watching videos without freezing either Krita or Firefox or both. So I plan on buying the necessary hardware to build the computer that allows me draw and watch videos without drag. Does anyone have any recommendations? Right now I'm more of an amatuer illustrator so I'm not looking for the most expensive but enough to run smoothly and within a budget of $500 to $600. I'm mostly looking for a faster and more effecient CPU and more memory which means I need a new motherboard. But I want to keep my Seagate 1TB harddrive, Raedon 5450 graphics card and sound card. P.S. I would like to make a $20 donation but you seem to only use paypal while I only use pre-paid credit card for online purchases. I don't have a credit card and refuse to use my debit online. Is there another I can donate to you? |

Actually, did we miss you? There's an option for brush-outline with crosshair or circle in settings->general. This draws two cursors, of which one is drawn differently. Maybe this works better for you as an intermediate? I think any modern desktop can handle Krita. Laptops do need the higher end.
as for that 20dollar... well, I leave boudewijn to answer that ![]() |

Well, there's also a direct bank transfer, but that costs a lot of money to do outside the EU. And as we're simply too small to setup credit card handling at the moment, I'm afraid I cannot offer you another option

Ah, well, we do occasionally have kickstarters. Those use amazon payment/credit card if I'm correct, so keep those 20 dollar in a sock for then!

@ vtempesh. I guess you can use credit card with paypal without the need to register. I have payed with credit card without registering with them.
Just try it. |

I tried that and it did work for the regular brushes but when I used the selection and paths tools they disappeared on the canvas. Glad I solved that problem or painting with Krita would be tedious. |
