Hello everyone,
I've been using Procreate on my iPad for a bit and I really enjoy being able to record my artwork with the ability to view it as a time lapse video later. It's great for personal critique and also for sharing techniques with others. I searched the forms and Google, but I don't seem to find this feature in Krita. Any chance we might see it soon? If not, what program (preferably open source) are you using to create your time lapse videos? Thanks, Leo |

There is Tools/Start recording, but that records only painting, no other tools.

I tried doing that but it saved my recording as a .KRAREC file and when I tried viewing it within Krita, nothing happens. Is there a way to save the recording in a format that will allow me to upload to Youtube? I read that Team Krita would like to see time-lapse videos of our work but I don't really know how to go about doing it. I tried using another program like Camstudio, but I think this old PC just can't handle it (it barely handles Krita alone).
I could be my computer. I'm running Windows 7 32-bit on a Athlon 64 4400, 2GB ram and a nvidia 9600GT (don't worry, I'm building a FX-6300, 16GB ram and GTX960 very soon ![]() If you or anyone else can recommend a solution, whether with in Krita or using another open-source program, I'd appreciate it! |

Hm... Well, it's not really something for timelapses. But on windows, any of the common screen recorders should be fine. I know I used one a year or two ago, but I've forgotten its name. On Linux, recordmydesktop seems favourite.

I am having the same problem.
I saved all actions to a KRAREC file, but when I select Open and Play, nothing happens... it just hangs. If I open the file on it's own, I get a choice of about 30 different image types. When I select one I either get an error, or it just opens a blank workspace in Krita. I would really like to be able to play back my painting... any help? Thanks. |
