In 2.8, under edit->resources there's an option called 'open resource folder', in 2.9 it's under settings->resource manager. We put that option there because we often had this problem.
You can also try to import brush by clicking the button just left of the brush-blending modes in the top-bar. You'll find that it's a mini-brush docker. Use the blue iconed file button to import .kpp brushes. A similar thing exists under the predefined brush-tips in the brush-settings, but then for brush-masks/tips. For gradients use the gradient button in the toolbar, patterns the pattern docker, palettes the palette docker, etc. EDIT: I don't know much about macs, but the .kde folder might be hidden like it is on linux. Try showing hidden folders? |

thank you for your explaination! if i click "open resource folder"(in "edit" ) nothing happens. if i click "import resources", the window appears, so i think i can select the brushes and add them from there. ps: solved problem with hidden files. thank you again, i thought i had alreay solved before but i was wrong. |

Nah, open resource folder doesn't work on OSX. I don't know why, maybe a Qt bug. I do find my krita folders in ~/Library/Preferences/kde/ though.
