How to Add New Brushes On Windows

Wed Feb 11, 2015 9:24 am
I'm currently using the Pre-Alpha 2.9 version of Krita, on windows 7, and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to apply new brush packs. Where does the ZIP file go? And does do the files inside need to be extracted?

Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give. c:

2.8 requires you to unzip, yes.

You'll need to put the relevant files in C:\Users\$User\AppData\Roaming\.kde\share\apps\krita, where the resource folders are. Typically, brush preset go into paintoppresets, unless they are brush tips, in which case they go into the brushes folder.

You can also import if you take the little preset docker just right of the blending modes and left of the brush-settings in the top bar. The blue folder icon allows you to import.
