Hi there. I have noticed a weird problem when enabling OpenGl in Krita. I have an Nvidia GTX 770 2GB. I have Krita 2.8 on Linux Mint 17 KDE, and I am testing Krita 2.9 on Windows 7.
When I enable OpenGl in Linux Mint, the image gets darker for some reason. Almost every time I enable it, the image goes darker. I encountered the same problem with Windows with 2.9, but it happened only once or twice. How can I fix this problem. I use intel i7-4790k processor in case it makes any difference. |

It might be some nvidia-specific settings -- it's not something you (or we) can fix from Krita, I'm afraid.

I see.
Thank you very much boudewijn. I will continue using it without the OpenGl then ![]() |

I now know what causes the problem, but of course I still don't know why it happens.
Anyway. This issue comes as an outcome of using the float colour depths (whether in 16 or 32 bits). With the OpenGl enabled, all colours appear to be darker. This doesn't happen with the non-floating 8- and 16-bit depths. Hope this helps. |
