As far as I know, there are two ways to add text in Krita: "Artistic" and "Multiline".
In "Artistic" mode, the text box grows to accommodate the text and you have to manually hit enter to wrap the flow. - To create text in "Artistic" mode: (toolbox) > Text Tool > Tool Options > Artistic > Click-and-Drag over the canvas. - To edit text created in "Artistic" mode: (toolbox) > Shape handling > Double-click on the newly created shape box to enter text editing mode. - Tool Options (panel) > Text Properties to edit formatting. In "Multiline" mode, the text is typed into a rectangular text box and line breaks occur accordingly. - To create text in "Multiline" mode: (toolbox) > Text Tool > Tool Options (panel) > Multiline > Click-and-Drag over the canvas and digit some text. - To edit text created in "Multiline" mode: (toolbox) > Shape handling > Double-click on the newly created text box to enter editing mode. - Tool Options (panel) > Paragraph > Change Paragraph Format (button) to edit formatting. |

@jaksonflixsdsss The explanation by mvowada, above, was written six years ago and there have been changes to the text tool since then.
If you need to know more about text then there's the manual: https://docs.krita.org/en/reference_man ... /text.html If you have problems or need advice then I suggest that you go to https://krita-artists.org/ (sign up and log in needed). That is a forum where it's easy to post UI screenshots etc. |
