I switch between brushes a lot, and I really hate the fact that the program doesn't remember my last used brush settings.
For example: Brush A is my inking brush. It's 20 pixels big. In this scenario though, I have to ink to at 16 pixels. So I do so. I then go to do something else, like filling in the colors. So I switch to Brush B, which is my color brush. When I return to my inking though, Brush A is back at 20 pixels, and not 16! So I have to adjust the size again, every time whenever I switch a preset. This throws me off. Making a new preset for each size is an inefficient waste of time, when it'd be easier for it to just remember my last used setting, and offering the option to save the last used setting as the new default would be nice. For comparison, Manga Studio/Clip Studio Paint remembers the last used brush setting, but it doesn't save to default. If you want to go back to the default brush settings, you press a button to reset the brush to default. But it also lets you make the last used settings the new default if you choose to do so. Does Krita have this equivalent? |

In the toolbar right under the menubar there is a button called "edit brush settings" (I'm sure you already know but for the sake of a clean answer for other viewers) open the dialog/window and in the bottom you have a button that says "Temporally save tweaks to presets" with an option to check it, this is the one that allows you to keep any settings on any brush until either you reset it by your self or close the program. in the same toolbar there is a two arrow-circle (kind of like recycle symbol) that resets the brush in turn to its original settings you can even make a shortcut for it, and reset with a single key. Hope it helps

That's a known issue on OSX. Disable opengl to make the popup palette show in the right place. Please, do keep in mind that that OSX builds are more proof of concept than stable releases. I make them to show people that it's possible to have Krita on OSX, but that much more work is needed.
