I can't open the video, but if you've got an XCF created by a stable version of Gimp (i.e., not 2.9), please make a bug report at bugs.kde.org and attach the xcf file. I'm not sure what we'll do when Gimp 2.10 is released: the xcf file format will very likely be completely different and I'm not sure we should start supporting that unless there's an update for the library we use to load xcf.

Hello everyone,
I have just tried to open (File > Open) myself several xcf images saved with GIMP 2.8.14 with Krita 2.9 (64 .exe) and the latest 2.9.1 (zip portable). On Windows 7 (64 bit) none of these images work. Even a simple jpeg image (single layer) just saved as xcf file does not work with Krita 2.9.1. The message error is: Could not open C:\Users\silvio\Dropbox\Public\BUGS_REPORT\GIMP_XFC_WINDOWS_BUG.xcf. Reason: Could not create the filter plugin. However, on Windows 7 (64 bit), you can "open" (that is, visualize) these same XCF images through the image references Docker ! In short: - File > Open: does not work. - Docker > image references: works ! These same XCF images work fine on Linux (Kubuntu 14.10 - Kde) with the latest Krita 2.9.1 version (ppa by Dmitry). I have just opened myself a bug report: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345285 |

I've confirmed the bug report, but haven't had time to see what's up yet.
