Unable to open saved Krita file

Tue Mar 24, 2015 4:54 am
I don't know if this ever happened to anyone else before, but for some reason I cannot access a Krita file I saved. The Krita file I am trying to access is a work file I am working on since yesterday. To explain, this file is part of a series of textures I am working on for a 3D scenery which is quite large, so I would be relieved if I can recover it and continue working with it.

Here's a screenshot of the error:

Image

My last revision of it has a file layer with two filter masks applied to it, I'm wondering if it could be the reason to it.

Krita files are zip files, so try to open it with an unzipper.

This turns out to be a real, big, bad bug. The problem is that file layers don't save masks! It's in bugzilla now, and must be fixed for 2.9.2...

Hello there,

I have a big problem, and it's similiar to the one with the error-messages. However, I don't get an error message.

When trying to open my files, it's loads for some seconds, loads up the starting screen, the normal background of krita and then... it closes again.
It simply closes...

On some files it asks if I want to load the .kra~ -file instead of the one I clicked. I don't know but i believe the files won't work especially not when clicking on the OK for the.kra~ files (the save files).
Also, it seems like the files above 100MB won't work.
But 2 month ago when I created them, they worked fine- both on editing and saving/re-opening them.

My spec: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4590 CPU @ 3.30GHz
(RAM) 16,0 GB 7,6
Grafik NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760

I had an artblock for weeks now.
Thinking of losing all my work I've done before drives me crazy. The folder where nothing works is about 6GB in size.
If I can't use krita for canvas sizes +3000x3000, why do I have the option to create them in the first place?

Can you report a bug and let me have one of the broken files so I can look into it? Images sizes of 3000x3000 are nothing special, and I doubt that it's the image size that's giving the problems. There is one special bug I fixed for 2.9.2, which happened with images that contain a slash followed by a number in the image name. Could that be the case for you?
