Lock color, possible?

Mon Apr 06, 2015 9:36 pm
I was wondering if there is a way to lock color just the opposite of locking the alpha channel, often I found myself trying to color "under", and realizing that selections are not smooth I have to add a layer, sometimes is just a couple of strokes therefore I get kind of lazy doing this :D, and I haven't found if there is a workaround that doesn't include what I just mention (selection and adding layers). the locking of the alpha channel is quite useful in either the brush or the layer, I really wish I could do just the opposite and paint only on transparency without touching the color that is already there. But who knows, may be is just me :D.

I'm getting old! Didn't realize there were more blending modes down the menu! And with a shortcut, nice! Thank you TheraHedgwig, I need to "play" more with the interface from now on. ^-^
