Shortcut strange behavior

Tue Apr 07, 2015 8:28 am
Another question, before can be say its a bug.
I have a strange behavior, with the shortcuts around ctrl + z, alt + space, ctrl + shift + z. DSometimes, the shortcuts not working, and looks Krita not respond at all to zoom shortcut, or the other combination, just after a while by trying to hit other shortcuts (but this can be wrong conclusion).
I have this after the 2.9 release, and probably can be some shortcut conflict, I don't know.
Anybody else notice this?
Thanks

I think I've seen this, too, and it's a focus issue, I think. If they stylus isn't over the canvas, the zoom shortcuts don't seem to work. It might be a regression.

Sound logical.
But when I paint, I use this shortcuts very very much, and actually create a high level frustration, and stops my workflow, almost 70%. Can be fix it?

I hope so, when I tried to do some painting yesterday morning I was irritated as heck as well. I wonder when it started happening, too.

OK I find what is the problem. For example, right now I made a re-size operation, and everything work as shortcut, except the space bar. I dont know why, the space bar stop responding when major changes are made, or after some keyboard combination.
I tried to unable some shortcuts, thinking are maybe some shortcut generate the issues, but the still appear. . .
All what i can say, somewhere around the Canvas Pan.
maybe I just did something wrong.. no clue at all...

PS. nothing wrong with the keyboard. I have two in the same time, but not work on the laptop also...

EDIT... sorry actually some shortcuts like B works, but the tool it is not active. That means, all keyboard and tools not works,. Even the right click for popup favorite brush panel not apear.

Hello Boudewijn .
First i wanna say sorry for my 12 old kid reaction in the other thread, but I have few days left until of launching a campaign, and everything was build around Krita and Linux as OS. Sorry Again.
But, because I did not give up easily, yesterday I spend all day to trying to find out or reproduce the error with the space bar, or the focus stuff. Especially because nobody else had this issue, or not reported so far.

Basically I cleared all Krita files find by the terminal, even one by one, and made a new fresh install. After re installing Krita, i had no issue with the shortcuts or focus. And then I remembered that in the previous version i changed some Shortcuts. Like:
- in the general shortcut section I add new Move layer - V (I need this because its in mine blood that from PS, to moving a layer, and hard to be changed).
But because not worked, I had to disable in the Canvas input settings also
- Tool Invocation/ mouse button V+left button
And after this i changed also
- Select Layer from R + Left Button to V + Left Button, to have some shortcuts similarly with the move a layer
The result is works well so far, but maybe I did something else around to, which I am not remember right now. (not tested Krita yet in working hours)

As conclusion,
1. my build of Krita was a mess,
2. or something happens around the shortcuts, making some conflict. i don't know, I am not a programmer.

But after this experience a question came out:
1. Why its need two group of shortcuts, one general and one with canvas input settings? I know Krita shows the attention pop up panel if a shortcut will be reassigned to other action, but it is not more clear if those shortcuts are in a same place? Its just a thought.

Sorry again acting as a kid, I still have to learn more about how i should have to react in the forums. :)
