Hello.
I am wondering it is any way to uninstall Krita 2.9.2 and re-install 2.9 beta 3. Before the official 2.9 release? on beta versions worked well everything. (like beta 3) I have a stable and well organised Linux Mint version now, and could be to much time spent to re-install a lot of software. Thanks for any help. Sincerely Alex

On linux you'll have to build Krita yourself.
http://www.davidrevoy.com/article193/gu ... x-for-cats You'll need to get the source from beta 3 tag(the guide tells you how to get a source from a specific hash later on), http://quickgit.kde.org/?p=calligra.git ... =v2.8.79.3 Btw, which things are you having issues with that in beta 3 worked well?

I know David's step by step article, but honestly, I am start to be confused with linux and tired. i mean, actually to much time to spent for making something work, even after you have a nice and stable version of OS and many software, always came out something, This is my last year of experience.
Uff, or maybe I reach the high level of frustration and I start to act like a kid ![]() Here are the issues viewtopic.php?f=139&t=125762 Basically, the space bar (for pan canvas) stop working and it is the most used thing when I draw. And i don't know where he came from. PS: and where I find that source from beta 3 tag? In the PPA not find or maybe i am blind. Edit: Don't get me wrong, I am a big fan of krita, and start thinking on long term support start from the next kickstarter, but sometimes, when you don't have time, this issues, can be a huge deal to handle. To much time spent focusing on the software and the OS and less for the projects. In the last year of playing and working with, was simple, it was not to much deadlines to keep. But I still think Krita is Awesome!

Sorry, I just edited it.
Yeah, the focussing thing, it was broken for a very long time in 2.8 as well, and then briefly fixed in 2.9, before multiple windows broke it again. Basically, everytime you touch a docker, the canvas loses focus, which mean that canvas input settings don't work. I have habituated myself to touch the scrollbars before doing canvas stuff :/ (And using things like the pop-up palette) |

The space bar / focus problem appear each time when I change a shortcut with action including a popup window. This is for sure, because I reproduced several times in the fresh new build. And when I reset the shortcuts, or change it back to default, everything came back to normal.
I don't know if this helps, or can be reproduce this by others too, but in my case it is, and I can do even a small video to show if somebody wants. Cheers Alex I can give more feedback about this errors after next week when I will work some projects, and more things possibly came out. Off course Its a little bit tricky to find, identify and reproduce errors, because it takes time. ![]() |

This bug is happening to me as well. I'll rolling back a couple of builds until this gets fixed. |

Please make a bugreport, chances are that it'll slip by without one due to forgetfulness.

OK.
Yeap, but I am not start to creating bugs before somebody can confirm some issues, or tell me. Thanks and keep up the good work! Alex |
