I'm having difficulties with Krita 2.8.5 on a HP2730P (has integrated Wacom screen) running Ubuntu 14.04 LTE with a Mobile Intel® GM45 Express Chipset x86/MMX/SSE2 graphics driver.
#1 - I uninstalled Krita 2.8.5 (as required for an upgrade) & re-installed it in hopes of getting the latest Krita release 2.9 using the Linux commands: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get install krita After all that I still only have Krita 2.8.5 #2 - MOST ANNOYING: Drawing with a stylus is not working well. I am trying to draw with my stylus and can only draw one line, then need to click on the layer again to make it active before drawing another line segment. I can draw with the cursor (who wants to if you have a stylus?) then lift off the screen & immediately draw another line segment. I also re-calibrated my Wacom screen but it only solved the problem for about 4 pen strokes before flaking out again. I can't work like this. Anyone having the same issues with Krita on Linux? |

Hi,
Ubuntu 14.4 users probably had better use our own ppa, since Kubuntu doesn't build Krita 2.9 for 14.4 LTS: https://launchpad.net/~dimula73/+archive/ubuntu/krita . That should also fix your stylus issues. |
