Hi Alex -- I think you've got the distribution krita already installed. Please uninstall that before you install krita-testing.

This massage came after I tried to install in terminal:

The new packages are incompatible to the calligra-* packages. Simply remove the package "calligra-data" and you're fine :-)

It's not really something to know about :P
Beginning with 2.9.4 we are installing the krita ppa versions correctly into the system, so the users have (finally) menu entries and file associations in place. This also removed some legacy packaging stuff that isn't maintained anymore.
Normally there shouldn't be problems updating the package. You most likely (un)installed Krita from the official repository before and the calligra-data package wasn't removed at that point (e.g. apt-get autoremove removes old dependencies that aren't needed anymore).
That being said, I added calligra-data as a conflict now, so in the future the packages will take care of this automatically.

Hope this helped and kind regards
