Hey.. so something crazy happened to me and I ended up at this thread.

I was typing some text using the text tool, and accidentally hit Tab. This put me into "Show Canvas Only" mode, where all of my dockers and toolbars disappeared. Because I was in text editing mode, pressing Tab again would not restore Krita back to how it was.

I didn't initially know what was going on, and my menu bar and everything was gone.. so I couldn't do anything.. I was stuck in text editing mode. So I just exited Krita. When i reopened krita, everything was still missing all dockers/toolbars/everything. I've restored most dockers but still there is no option to bring back the tool option docker that I can find. I also can't find the toolbar option to set the default layout.

Anyway, Cegaton's suggestion worked. Just wanted to mention this

Hi Everyone,

New here and first post.

I too could not find "Tool Options" using Windows 7, until today.

I found it by selecting Settings > Configure Krita > General > Tools Tab > Select "In Docker"

It will appear after restarting Krita.
Hope that helps,

Harry

Well, i love krita.

But, wheres the tool option pallete. I cant find it anywhere. I used all interface workspaces (default, big paint....) and nothing. Restarted, and nothing. Moved dockers, and nothing.

Im using win10, krita 301. 1920x1080 screen resolution.

How to solve that?

Thx in advance.

What you could try is to go to the workspace select (the two overlapping windows in the upper toolbar) and select 'default' from there.

I still don't see it for me :(

This is a very old thread so the statement that the toolbox cannot be closed is not true anymore. But it's also not clear whether you understand the difference between a toolbar and the toolbox. To reset the workspace to default with Krita 4.0 go to Window/Workspace and select Default. That will rest the workspace to default: no question about it it. The toolbox is also in the list of dockers in Settings/Dockers. If you are talking about the toolbar, that is in Settings/Toolbar.

Hi all,
Struggled with this for hours. Fizbi's remedy of selecting Settings > Configure Krita > General > Tools Tab > Select "In Docker" worked like magic.
Thx Fizbi. Thx KDE Forum

It's work for me ( Linux version 4.9.0-8-amd64 (Debian 6.3.0-18+deb9u1) :: Krita 4.1.6).
Thank you very much!

Mine started with the move hand tool on all the time. I am running windows 10, using a Huion Tablet. I could navagate with the mouse but everytime I used my tablet the hand would come on, and I couldn't do anything with it. I came here and the "Windows" "Workspace" "Big Paint" Fixed it for me. That turned the Tool Docker back on. Thanks y'all. ;D
