I need help

Fri May 15, 2015 3:19 am
I'm trying to install Krita 2.9.4.3 on Ubuntu 14 trusty.
I can't find it anywhere.
I tried using the instructions at https://launchpad.net/~dimula73/+archive/ubuntu/krita
Still no success.
Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,
Gustavo :)

Hello Gustavo,

Maybe it is a very recent version and it is not listed in the ppa repository yet.
In case you are not familiar with ppa yet, I enter the following 3 lines on a terminal to install Krita (one by one, without the initial "#"):

Code: Select all
#sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dimula73/krita
#sudo apt-get update
#sudo apt-get install krita-testing

For what I know, in order to get always the latest version, one has to build Krita from the sources, here are two guides, the second one to install multiple versions on the same system:

http://www.davidrevoy.com/article193/guide-building-krita-on-linux-for-cats
http://www.valdyas.org/fading/index.cgi/kde/krita-multiple-versions.html

Hope it helps and good luck :)
