I've been looking at other people painting on youtube in HD, and it just feels like something is up with my brushes. A lot of them leave these crazy looking lines. But when I watch someone else paint it doesn't look so sharp. For example, using the sponge brush, when I watch someone else use it it looks smooth and cloudy. But my sponge has these crazy lines everywhere.

Is this how it's supposed to look?

You are probably using a different sponge brush.

That is the 'Bristle_Texture' brush, which uses the 'Bristle Engine', which is a line-drawing engine.

What you want is 'sponge-texture', which is all the way down.
