Hi
I've installed this font http://www.1001fonts.com/steel-city-comic-font.html on my computer. When I use it, there are gaps in the corners, where parts of each letter overlap themselves. Font renders correctly in both inkscape and gimp. I believe it has something to do with vector fill options and overlapping paths. After a google search, I found this manual page https://userbase.kde.org/Krita/Manual/VectorLayers describing the method for changing the fill options. However my versions of Krita do not have the fill option buttons, neither on the text or if I convert the text to a path. I'm using Krita 2.9.4 on Windows and also tested on Krita 2.8 on Debian. How do I fix this problem. I've just exported a PNG and done the text in Inkscape this time, but that is a short term solution. Thanks |

There's no shortterm solution. We're planning on fixing the text-tool properly at some point, but before that we have a handful of things that really need to be done first. I am sorry, inkscape is the best option right now, or otherwise using a different font.

Ah that's a shame.
I'll keep using inkscape then. Good to know more than one tool any way. |
