Specifying a 'Save To' Folder

Tue May 26, 2015 1:43 pm
I'm on Win7 64 and, no matter how many times I save elsewhere, Krita keeps wanting to save to my Program Files\Krita(x64)\bin directory. Is this configurable somewhere?

Thanks

I'm not sure if there is a way to specify that within Krita, but you could try tweaking your desktop shortcut for Krita.
Open the property of your Krita shortcut, then specify "Start in" directory other than Program Files\Krita(x64)\bin directory - then launch Krita using the shortcut.
From my testing that could change the default "save to" folder.

Huh... Krita should default to the Pictures folder, and, in fact, does that for me :-(

The last two installs were done by unzipping the provided files. I ran the MSI for 2.9.4. Is there a reg key you would like me to look at?
