I have a an image that I want to capture a set of colors (32) off of and save as a palette for a future painting. How would I do this?

Hi! ![]() If your aim is to make a palette out of the list of colors from the image ("U" key), I wish to be wrong, but I don't think that it's possible at the moment. Maybe you already know some of the free services online that allow users to extract a set of colors from an image and save it as a palette file format. In my case, I've used Gpick on Ubuntu for this sometimes. For what I know, either Gpick or other free applications don't let you to interactively pick colors directly from the image. Rather they generate colors automatically through internal algorythms. |

Thank you. I wasn't aware of this option. I just figured that since nobody had responded that either 1] this was so easy to do it was a stupid question or 2] it couldn't be done.
I appreciate your response ![]() |

Well, now I wish I had answered before, but I guess I didn't because of the same hesitancy for yourself ![]() But I think it's a good point indeed... |
