Scratchpad no longer displays. How do I turn it back on?

I'm stumped.

I was following a Youtube video on how to create my own brushes. Somehow during the process of creating my brush, and trying to save it, the scratchpad feature in the brush editor stopped working. I can't name a moment in the process where it suddenly disappeared, but at one point I wanted to play with all the settings to see what impact it had on my new brush and the scratchpad refused to display.

For the life of me I can't figure out how to turn it back on. I've restarted Krita twice and the PC once, still no scratchpad.

What am I missing? A bug? On and Off button right in front of me that I'm too blind to see?

My system:
Windows 7, 64bit
Krita 2.9.5
Drawing with mouse
Asus, 24" ProArt monitor

I was playing with one of the pencils to create my brush.

Your suggestions are welcome. Assuming the above is an easy fix can someone recommend a thorough step by step process for creating and saving custom brushes? I wasn't able to save the brush but it was available from the clipboard.

Thanks,

Chuck

Resolved:

Via twitchy finger on the mouse, I accidentally right clicked on the brush editor and to my surprise a small menu displayed allowing me to turn the scratchpad back on.

Scratchpad is back in action.

How noobishly embarrassing.

OK, back to playing around.....
