Can I put new shortcuts into the left screen dock?

Can I put icons into the tray on the left side of the screen? (where the paintbrush and eraser and selection tools are). If so, how do I do this?

No, it's only used for tools.

You can however put them in the topbar, by comfiguring the topbar in settings!
