I'm having an issue using Fill Layers as textures and wondering if anyone else has experienced the same. I checked the bug list and there is something there about fill layers but I didn't understand whether this was the same problem or not.
In my continuing exploration of Krita I started playing around with Fill Layers and blending modes and found I could get something nice like this: ![]() So I created another group and tried again but doing the exact same steps yielded different results: added the Fill Layer ![]() Changed the Inherit Alpha ![]() The really odd thing is that for a split second the texture IS overlayed on the red object as it should be and then *poof* it disappears Anyone else having issues like this with either Fill Layers or Inherit Alpha? |

After further review...
it seems that you have to always transform the Fill Layer (whether you think it needs it or not) or it doesn't work. This is also true if you drag a texture (from CGTextures or wherever) and add it in as a regular layer. So, by using the Clipping Layer work around (https://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=288&t=124054&p=325956&hilit=clipping+mask#p325956) and Layer Groups you can add some nice, complicated, subtle textures to images in Krita. This is something I am happy to know about now |
