How to group selected layer as group with one click?

I don't know whether such feature exists. I may be just too lazy. Now, I have to create a group first, then select the layers and drag it inside the group. Can I selected the layers and then assign it to a new group instead ??? reversing the order ???
Will there be any plan to improve the manual, as a beginner, I think the manual is not detailed enough.

Not yet, it's one of the things we want to implement thanks to a kickstarter stretchgoal.

As for the manual, I am working as hard on it as I can, but the problem is that I have no idea what people would want to know, because would it at all make sense to tell people very specific layer-grouping function in the beginning rather than during the section that is about layer groups? Or would it make more sense to start with general interface? Certain things, like colour management are very fundamental to Krita, but at the same time people are so unused to it that they just use the defaults and are happy with only using the defaults. Due to those kind of issues I am mostly working on it being up to date.

In my opinion, a brief introduction to the general interface is necessary and using a video is better. Then, explain each function in detail. The most ideal way is to ask the community about it and set a standard to the manual. I don't know whether everyone can edit the manual, if it is in this way, if there is a standard, then the community can do their job. I just use krita for fun not like some of the professionals, those users switch from other software and these software shares the fundamental knowledge. These users can easily adapt to the software much easier than a beginner like me. I don't know how people sees and uses krita, I almost know nothing about digital painting and would like to start off by using krita. It seems that is more difficult,just my feeling, to do so comparing to start off with other software. I know it is possible to learn other software and apply the same skills in krita but this shouldn't be the way.

Anyway, what I feel is that the manual needs some real case example, I know how the tool works but can't think of the case that I can use it, I know it depends on your imagination but it will be more comfortable if example exists. It is almost impossible to prepare all examples to each tool and therefore help from community is needed. I don't know whether anyone would like to contribute to it though. I would like to offer some help but as a beginner, I can only give my opinion. Hope this helps.

I just know that I can edit the documentation. I will add a little more then but is there any guideline or rules to follow. I don't want to ruin other's effort.

The problem with making a video is that it would need to be re-recorded every release. The second problem with making a video is that it means there's no text-version of the information available, which is one of the issue with Blender(all the features are documented... somewhere on youtube). Yes you can. If you feel worried about editing it, you can leave a message in the discussion page, or type up your page and share it with us on the forum :)

This is actually because these are the most common types of users. And we get the most questions about the differences between other software. Which is why it was written first. You can skip it, right?

There is a page in progress for basic workflows, but beware that it's perhaps not the manual's job to teach you drawings skills.

All examples are indeed impossible, even with the community's help, but some examples should be enough to let the creativity flow.
