installation of krita

could someone tell me how i get krita to work after downloading zip file and extracting files, how do i install it.

Hi, what OS are you using? If you're using Windows, just run the .msi file wherever you downloaded it. If you don't have the .msi file, you can get it from krita's official website download page. The installation process should start there.

If you're using a Linux based OS, try running these commands via terminal:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install krita

The zip file is only for Windows; and after unzipping, you don't need to install it. Use the explorer file manager to open the unzipped folder, open the bin folder and double-click on krita.exe
