Hi all,

I'm using Vista, and an Intuos 4L

I'm trying to set up my Intuos so that the button activates the colour picker, in the same way that holding control does. So, I've set the button to 'modifier: control', like so:
Image

When I press the button, the colour picker cursor appears, but I can't click to select a colour: it looks like it's working, it appears exactly as if I was holding Control on my keyboard, but Krita doesn't register when I touch the pad to select a colour. If I use keyboard-control and click with the pen, it works fine. Doing the same setup (but with Alt) works fine in Photoshop, so I'm pretty sure it's not a hardware issue.

Things I've tried:
Restarting.
Setting the pen button to 'Control + click' - cursor appears, doesn't select.
Setting an alternate invocation via Prefs>Canvas Input Settings (setting ctrl/alt/shift/left-click to pick colour) - cursor appears, doesn't select.
Switching to the Colour Picker tool, and tapping with pen - works fine.
Changing the alternate invocation to activate with Alt - cursor appears, won't select.

Has anyone come across this problem before, and can anyone suggest a fix or workaround? Any help would be much appreciated!

e: Solved it! Did it by making an Alternate Invocation to Pick Colour set to Middle Mouse Button, and that seems to work fine.

Yeah, if you want to set colour picker to rightclick, you need to just assign the rightclick in the canvas input settings, without any modifier.

Thanks so much for the quick response! That's the only thing that wasn't quite working for me about Krita, and it was driving me nuts. Now it's perfect!
