As crash reports for some reason require login and it does not work on my end I'm posting it here.
I've been using text tool , then tried to switch to move tool by pressing "t" and got a crash: Application: Krita (krita), signal: Segmentation fault Using host libthread_db library "/lib64/libthread_db.so.1". 81 T_PSEUDO (SYSCALL_SYMBOL, SYSCALL_NAME, SYSCALL_NARGS) [Current thread is 1 (Thread 0x7f55368548c0 (LWP 3677))] Thread 5 (Thread 0x7f5507fdb700 (LWP 3686)): #0 Hm... I'm afraid the crash information isn't really useful since you haven't got the debug symbols installed, so we cannot figure out on which line the problem occurs. Another thing is, if you're inside the text tool, typing 't' wouldn't switch to the move tool, it would type a 't'. Which version of Krita are you using exactly?

@boudewijn : Yeah, i know - I've been dropping text tools and switching to move tool.
Debug symbols? Let me know what should I install to make debugs usable - I'd love to make those usable (Krita getting even better is in my best interest ![]() As for version - just noticed a funny thing . In the "about" page it shows 2.9.5 while packages show 2.9.6 . I'm on Fedora 21 running Gnome 3.14 . Oh, and autosave saved me this time ![]() |

Fedora should have some package called krita-dbg or calligra-dbg (or maybe debug), if you install those and reproduce thec rash we should have more information. I'm not sure what they are called exactly since I don't have fedora myself.

ok, after getting back from work I've launched Krita and I've noticed now it behaves stangely when I start text tool. See what happens when the pen tip gets close to pad (but does not touch it ):
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/420 ... xttool.mp4 At home I have different tablet than at the workshop (both Wacom), but I doubt it is problem with my home tablet - other apps behave normally at first sight. Heck , even other tools in Krita seems to work as they did previously. Will look for calligra-dbg package and will try to install it. EDIT: found the culprit of this behavior at home - it was my crazy MS keyboard. Disconnected it and tablet started to behave as normal. The funny thing is after connecting it continues to work ok. Thought about this only because I had problems with it while playing some games (they behave like on of the keys is pressed while it is connected). Also found and installed calligra-debuginfo.rpm . Hope that's the one. |
