Hello all,
Newly introduced to digital drawing and Krita (LOVE it), bought the tutorial DVD, learned some new tricks. I have a few suggestions on improving the DVD but that's another topic. I'm currently using an old laptop and I notice lag in quite a few places. I'm looking too build a box just for Krita and was wondering what are the better specs, without going $$ crazy? Does Krita support multiple cores or only one core? Can it handle hyper-threading? I read in another thread that CPU is more important than graphics card for Krita? Any recommendations? Memory usage? Thanks! ![]() |

In order:
* RAM, all the RAM. Krita is a data-shuffling application, so give it ram to shuffle data on. * Krita does use multi-threading in places(transforming multiple layers at once for example). In my experience in can handle hyper-threading just fine. * Yes, for the graphics card any mid-range graphics card will be fine. I have a GTX 280 at home it's doing fine on. I am not very into the current hardware scene, but I hope these answers help. |
