I got it quite frequently and while I learned to cope with it but it's quite annoying - when I invert selection I do not get a real invert.

Yes, untick anti-aliasing in the selection tools before making the selection. It's the anti-aliasing that causes the perceived unreal invert.

hmmm... still having issues. Disabled antialiasing in setiings -> configure -> display , but still I get this wacky, different selection on inverse. Any ideas what may be wrong? I get the impression that in the past with one of the earlier versions I got it working .

No, turn of anti-alias in the tool options docker. Wait until Krita 2.9.7(which should be officially released this week) if you can't find these. They were accidentally removed when we added the sticky-keys for selections.

ahhh... ok - there's no setting in the tool properties on 2.9.6 so I thought that's the one.
Hope 9.7 will hit Fedora repos quickly (official or other, even copr) - or I have to finally get to grips with building from source (which seems like magic to me at this point ![]() |

@ TheraHedwig : it will probably take a while before 2.9.7 hits Fedora repos , but I've taken a peek at Wndows version - can't see anti-alias in the tool docker. Maybe I'm simply overlooking something - can you post a pic showing what should I look for?

Sorry for bringing this up again , but has the missing setting been added in 2.9.7 ? I can't see it - but maybe I'm looking in the wrong place.
Would love to get around this - recently I've been working with some hires 16bit images and those unpredictable inverse selections and "magic wand" in general are slowing the whole process down. And is there somewhere an explanation to this setting (tried to find it) - I don't get it. With "magic wand" selections I don't know what is actually selected (and what will be removed when I delete selected) as what is actually selected differs from what selection lines show. |
