Importing CMYK from Photoshop PL

Wed Sep 02, 2015 2:06 pm
I've noticed a small , but annoying issue - when importing file with CMYK made in Photoshop PL, characters in the color profile name are not being read correctly (Polish locale signs are not read, you got those nasty squares).
It should be for example:
CMYK (8-bit integer/channel) SWOP (powlekany), 20%, średni

but is:
CMYK (8-bit integer/channel) SWOP (powlekany), 20%, [][]redni

If that would be only name display issue I wouldn't care much. BUt layers/files with those incorrect profile names cause problems later on - it has taken me a while to figure out what's going on.

Please report a bug on bugs.kde.org and attach one of those files _and_ one of the icc files. It might be a problem in lcms2, though, but in that case, we'll report it upstream.

sure, will try to familiarize myself with KDE's bug reporting system in my free time.
In a meantime here's a sample jpg file:

- open it in Krita, then save it as .kra file and then try to open it ;) .
