hi,
i have a personal nightmare going on with trying to make my Yiynova screen operate the way it should (with krita or otherwise). One thing i have noticed, in the countless hours of experimenting, is that the little window that (sometimes) appears when starting up a new drawing in krita, and which let's you choose a screen resolution (it's not the first bigger one, it's a second, smaller one) is important. however, that little window is not appearing anymore. could anyone tell me how to get it back? thanks tobias |

Move away your kritarc configuration file. On Windows it's in AppData\Roaming\krita\share\config.

Well, the thing is, if it doesn't popup then Qt and Wintab agree on the monitor dimensions. If that happens, we don't show the dialog.

i see. my problem is getting pressure sensitivity with my pen (and having it well calibrated). it's clearly not a krita problem, because it is wrong across the board, but whenever i get that window, it seems to work (at least for a while. let's say that window seems like a necessary but insufficient condition for it to work)

@ tobiasl,
I am guessing you want the resolution chooser, try if this helps 1) Lay you stylus aside 2) Start Krita without using a stylus, that is using a mouse or a keyboard 3) Press Shift key and hold it 4) Touch a tablet with your stylus so Krita would recognize it You will see a special dialog asking for real screen resolution. Choose the correct value or enter it manually and press OK. ( again I am just guessing) source -> https://answers.launchpad.net/krita-ru/+faq/2663 |

thank you. i haven't seen the resolution screen yet. do i have to hold the shift button while i open a new document, or when exactly?

Yes, when you create a new document. (It has to be your first document, before the canvas has appeared.)

hmm, i ithink the problem is right now that i can't touch my touch screen as the pen pointer is on the other screen and i can't get it to the right one
when i make the tabletscreen the main screen, i can touch the screen with the pen, but then i never have pressure and the window doesn't appear... thanks |
