Dear All,
UNtil now I was using Krita for brush strokes drawings. Now I wanted to paste on a new layer and edit the object as well but the pasted object on new layer is unmovable. Please advise how to move and place correctly the pasted object in Krita and edit it.

Hi, sorry if I'm misunderstanding: are you pasting a vector object on a Vector layer?

Thanks for taking note of my problem.

Not exactly the vector layer as vector layer on bitmap layer works there but when I insert or paste bitmaps whether on new layer or existing layer the object wont move or nothing happens but it stucks somewhere on the canvas. Doesn't it work like PS or other drawing tools which allow the transformation of each and everything wherever these are placed?

Hi abdulmajid,

When you paste an image in krita it gets pasted on a new layer, the newly formed layer has '(pasted)' in its name, (you can drag an image in krita and it prompts you if you want it in new layer).
now to move this layer you have to switch to move tool by pressing 'T' key then you can move the layer wherever you like, There is one more way of moving object and that is the transform tool, you can activate it by pressing 'CTRL+T' by clicking and holding inside the bounding box you may notice that the cursor changes into 'move icon' , you can then move it .
