Sorry for the vague subject but I really couldn't think of one that summarizes the problem.
I was going to fill a bug report, but I then wondered if the "bug" is an intended behavior (to me it is not, it took me quite a while to figure out what I did wrong and when I figured out what the problem was, it just didn't feel logical at all). so I preferred to make a thread there to have people's (and hopefully a developer's) opinion before reporting it. In settings/configure Krita/Canvas input settings/, there are multiple shortcuts, and some are as follow : Left Click + [shortcut key] (eg : in settings/configure Krita/Canvas input settings/Layer Selection/Select Layer Mode, it is Left Click + R) When you remove one partially as I did (I simply removed the R in the shortcut, and left the Left Click), after going back to the canvas your cursor is permanently replaced by the icon of the tool shortcut your removed. You can not draw, you can not do selections, restarting doesn't work, even reinstalling doesn't work (unless you manually delete your preference files). the only ways to solve this issue is, as far as I know, to reset Krita to defaults then restarting it, or reinstalling + deleting all config/preference files). Of course you can just not half do it like I did, and remove both the Left Click and the Shortcut Key and not have to worry about this, but still, is it supposed to do that? Thanks in advance. |
