Is there somewhere to download the Krita animation version to experiment with? Thanks!

Only for Linux at the moment; there's a version in the Krita lime repository.

Any idea why it wouldn't show up in my repository?

krita-animation-unstable - 2+git20150731+r1-60~ubuntu14.04.1

I have 2.9-stable from Lime, but animation-unstable isn't there...? I'm running Linux Mint 17.2

Code: Select all
~ $ sudo apt-get update
...
~ $ sudo apt-get install krita-animation-unstable
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
E: Unable to locate package krita-animation-unstable

It doesn't appear in the package manager either:

Hi AgeOfAsparagus,

It's "krita-lod-unstable" which can be seen in your screen shot. the animation and level of detail are clubbed into one.
here is the announcement -> https://krita.org/item/krita-2-9-8/
