Hi! Today I decided to try this program. And when I crated 2000х2000 canvas and while I draw with 130px round brush it starts lagging as hell.
I tried everything - I turned off texture buffer, set filtering to bilinear, at performance set memory limit to 5Gb and nothing helps.
Also, when I turn off OpenGL it works a little bit faster, but still very slow. I don't know if it's my hardware, because in other soft (SAI, Photoshop, GIMP) it works almost perfectly with same resolution and brush size.

My specs:
AMD x6 1100T 3.3GHz, 6Gb RAM, Radeon R9 270x videocard 2Gb, 1Tb HDD 7200rpm.
Using Wacom Bamboo A5 tablet, but there are lags when I draw with mouse too.

P.S Sorry for Google Translate :)

Does it matter what type of brush you use? I know some brushes are quite slow, especially on Windows. If some brushes act faster than others, it might have to do with the brush spacing. You can change this from the brush editor.

Yeah, but I tried everything with simple round brush Basic_tip_default. With other ones it lagging much worse.

ALSO!
I just tried canvas RGB 16bit instead 8bit and it works almost without lags! Still slow, but strokes ends in 1 or 2 seconds with 350px brush size! With 130px as in OP-post it draws instantly without delays.
I have no idea what's going on :-\

It might be a GPU thing. I looked through some older forum threads and Boud mentioned this...

Check whether on your system, 16bit integer/channel rgba is faster than 8 bit: that happens for some people as well, because it cuts down on the work for some GPU's

If that is happening, you could potentially try updating your graphics card drivers. That could potentially help how Krita processes the brush strokes.
