I have a quite embarrassing problem: I can not set the maximum color saturation with the triangular color selector..
If I pick in the saturation peak of the red hue I don't get a full rgb red 255,0,0... I get a strange 218,3,8 ...... Why???? http://postimg.org/image/6l0hlihgz/ This is terrible ... I can not choose a full saturated color with color selector ![]() Is this a bug? Can someone please help me? Thanks a lot.. |

On the basis of the tests I'm doing I can say the problem is Krita's color management.
If I set krita to use "sRGB-elle-V2-srgb trc.icc" profile for the project and the same profile for Display Screen 1 in color management .. everything works fine. The color selector corner peak corresponds to the color ... Instead .. if I set Krita to use "Clay RGB-elle-V4-g22.icc" profile (I need it because I usually work with Adobe RGB 1998 color space) for the project and my personal profile for my calibrated monitor ... the problem appears. How can I fix this? |

Actually, sounds like color management is working fine. The problem is rather that the current color selectors don't select outside of sRGB. It's something I am slowly chasing right now, but it's actually quite a complex task to undertake.

Ok I understand, thank you for the answer. I hope the problem will be solved because I don't think this is a marginal issue.
The Color Selector is a key element for a digital painter, if it doesen't pick the right color I can't work with this program: in a professional and calibrated monitor the defect is very evident. Anyway I love this program, I really respect your work and I will continue to support it when I can. |

You can still use the specific colour selector to get wider gamut colours in the meantime.
