Hello,

I understand there have been several topics regarding cursor offsets when using tablets. But I am not sure if they were identical to mine. And I could find no helpful solutions, anyways.

Here is what I use:
Windows 7, GeForce GTX 770, Wacom Cintiq 27QHD (connected via DisplayPort).

Here's my problem:
When I use a tool on the canvas in Krita, the cursors (arrow, crosshair, pipette etc.) appear correctly beneath the tip of the pen. But when I use a tool it registers with a constant offset of ca. 4 millimeters on the canvas. When I want to draw with the brush tool, I can turn on the outliner (the circle that shows the position and size of the brush) -- now I can see the offset. So drawing accurately would, in a way, be possible, but because the the other tools do not have an "outliner", "aiming" correctly is more of a guesswork.

At first I thought it could be a resolution problem. So switched over to my main monitor (which has a different resolution). But it is the same there. Whatever program I use (e.g. Gimp): no offsets anywhere -- only on the canvas in Krita.

I really like Krita; it is an awesome program.
I would be really thankful for any help.
Regards,
Dennis

wow, wow! That worked.

I overlooked that entry .. or thought it addessed general problems with calibrating a tablet.

The solution was typing in the real resolution manually.

Thanks a lot :)

arrghh..... I was celebrating too early.

Now I have different problems:

The cursor disappeared when I hovered over the canvas to the right of the tablet (not when I was drawing, though). Sometimes it reappeared to the the left of the screen.
I could make it reappear by moving or clicking on other window-elements.
So I added an x-achsis offset in the "real screen resolution"-dialogue. That seemed to do the job.
But now:
-- The cursor is frozen or gone everytime I move my pen away from the tablet. I have to make it appear again by hovering over or clicking on other window-elements.
-- the brush-dynamics are tatolly gone. They seem only to work when I return to the "win-tab" option in the "real screen resolution"-dialogue (which results in the above mentioned cursor-offset-problem).

mmhh. I don't know. Maybe this version of Krita just does not work with my tablet :(
