I've been testing the recent beta, and I can't for the life of me figure out how to use the onion skin feature.
The Onion Skins button in the Animation docker only switches on and off the "Onion Skins" docker itself, and I'm simply unable to see more than the current frame at any moment. Also, in case I eventually figure it out: Is there any way to reset the opacity values in the Onion Skins docker to the defaults if you tweak them and things start getting a little untidy? |

in the timeline panel, on every layer, there is an switch next to the alpha lock switch, click on it and you should see a lightbulb icon and the onion skin will be enabled

Thanks, I had been trying that with a white-filled layer (the one by default), which doesn't play nice with the onion skinning |

Well, it's not so much playing nice as that for Krita transparency is serious business and it won't try to add transparency where it doesn't belong.
