Icons for custom brushes?

Mon Dec 07, 2015 8:55 am
How do I add an icon for my brushes?

I know of the drawing area in the brush editor but most brushes have more fancy icons than just a brush line, so how do I add those?

Hi animationista,

if you open the resource folder from resource management section, then go to the painttop presets folder you'll find various .kpp files, these are the preset files which are somewhat like png.

Find the relevant brush file , also note that the file name is not always same as brush name. Open these files in krita ( drag and drop for quickly opening them)
now edit the icon the way you want and save inplace.
you can find some of the templates here -> https://community.kde.org/Krita/Brushes_Preset_Preview
