Forgive me if this has been answered before, I did a search and didn't see anything that answered my question.
First off, this is my first time attempting to animate anything in over a decade. (Old!) second off, I made an animation that makes me laugh, and I would like to share it (facebook, tumblr) but I have no idea what file format or what to use. I'd love to turn it into a gif but when it comes to moving images, I have no idea what I'm doing file wise. Please advise, and thanks in advance! |

Animated GIF is probably still easiest to share, because Google Chrome doesn't support APNG yet. If you're on Linux, ImageMagick is a good option to create your animatied gif. For Windows or OSX, you'll have to use Google, I'm not sure what the best option for those systems is.

I suppose i should have been more specific. I found this forum via the Krita Animation page. So, backing up, I made an animation using Kirta. There is no option to save as a gif, only some file known as .kra. I've seen others share their animations, but I have no clue how to do so. The fact I even figured out how to make an animation is probably something short of a miracle as I bumbled through it.

You can export frames via file->export, and then assemble them to a gif with one of the programs boud suggested. Animation is in beta, so we're not done yet with gif export. |

Ahhhh...ok. I will give that a shot. I was wondering if I would have to do something like that. Thank you, makes sense now. I look forward to the gif export. ![]() |
