I would like to import a black white drawing that have I scanned into my laptop, and color it. I tried to open my drawing a few ways in krita but my problem is, when my image opens ,the color wheel ( selector) turns black and white. I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Is there a correct way to Import a black and white scanned drawing and have access to the colors? Thanks

Well, as you discovered, a grayscale image only allows grayscale colors. There are several ways around it. The easiest is to convert the image to RGB using image/Convert color space.

If you want to save a little memory and are feeling experimental, you can also do this:

* create a new RGB image
* import your grayscale image as a layer
* resize the image to the new layer size
* create a new layer on top, which is RGB and in which you can color

Krita is pretty much the only raster graphics application that allows you to have layers in different colorspaces, so save your working copy as .kra.
