Hi,
I guess this is piece of cake for the experienced ones here: I created an object which needs to be cut clear to be used as a kind of overlay object in a video (Magix). Well, I tried a few things when saving that object (JPEG), but it didn't work, there is always some background. How to get rid of the background? Thanks! Juergen |

jpeg traditionally doesn't have an alpha channel(that's the technical name we give to transparency in images), I recommend you try another format like PNG or GIF instead

thanks, I tried PNG and TIF for export, GIF is not available.
I tried different setting of the object: alpha inherit YES / NO, Alpha LOCK YES / NO. In the PNG saving options I selected white 255 as Alpha just like it is in the picture. But whatever I try it doesn't seem to matter, the exported file always has the white background. ...Any idea?? Thanks! |

Do you have the object separated in Krita? (Everything but you object deleted from you layer, leaving a checkerbox pattern)

Don't select a background color. Make sure you see the transparency checkers. Then export as png and select "save transparancy". We have realised that the dynamically showing items are a bit, confusing, so we're just disabling them now instead of hiding them. |
