Hello, I've read that there's a new feature for the eraser that actually remembers the size, though I haven't been able to make it work.
My question however is a little bit different: Say I'm drawing with a small pencil brush, and I want to erase with another brush that's actually an eraser (bigger, stronger, eh) Can it be done? Since what I'm currently getting is an eraser with the same properties as the pencil brush, which isn't really useful. I mean, could you actually assign it to remember that everytime it goes to 'Eraser' uses that brush instead? Otherwise I feel it cripples my workflow, having to manually switch to another brush in order to erase and all... Anyways, thanks in advance. Cheers! |

I don't know how this can be done in software but it can be done using some tablets.
In my Intuos3 the back end is a separate pointer device so I can set up an easer brush completely different from the ordinary brush and then when erasing I turn the pen around. Having 2 pens in one. Using linux, Ubuntu14.04, but I'd imagine it works in windows and mac as well. |

to set the eraser size independant to the drawing brush, open the brush property editor and look at the bottom of the dialog and select the "Eraser switch size" checkbox.
if you want to use a different brush preset as eraser and you dont switch brush presets to often then you could use the "Switch to Previouse Preset" keyboard shortcut. |

Not quite what I had in mind, but I guess it's a decent workaround. Thanks guys! I think I'll go for replacing the eraser shortcut (I use the large stylus button) for the 'switch to previous preset' one. I get all messy trying to even flip the pen to erase
