Hi, I'm a complete noob so this may be user error, but flood fill is not working at all for me.

I have uninstalled/reinstalled (it seemed to keep all my settings tho) and even on a blank page with nothing selected I am unable to use fill. I can draw a shape or paint on the canvas with pen (wacom intuos) or mouse.

The flood fill bar will start moving but never completes, this occurs so rapidly I cant see how far along the bar is going.

any ideas?

Well, something rather strange has happened.. I tried fill with pattern selected, that worked, so I went back to fill with colour, and now it works!

No idea what I did or how that happened!
