2.9 Animation: export?

Tue Feb 09, 2016 6:17 am
Hi I'm a newb here, I played around a little in 2.9(.11) krita Animation package and it's all good but is it missing an export option for now? I can't seem to find anyway to save an animation as a video or even gif format :'(
is it one of the uncommon file formats i skimmed over or is the only option for now to export as a png sequence and join them together? or should i try 3.0 alpha?
thanks!

You can only export sequences right now, so for now you'll have to stitch them together in another program. GIMP can work well for animated GIFs, or ffmpeg for video formats like webm or Youtube.

Check http://superuser.com/questions/533695/how-can-i-convert-a-series-of-png-images-to-a-video-for-youtube for instructions on ffmpeg, or http://www.cubiclite.com/2015/06/how-to-create-an-animated-gif-from-an-image-sequence-using-gimp/ for instructions on GIMP. Once you've done it a couple of times it's pretty easy to do.
