This has kind of been bugging me a bit because I have to save images as jpeg and then I lose all my current layers when I re-open in Krita. I was wondering if there's any way to fix or work around this or am I just stuck with not knowing which piece I'm about to work on, losing the layers, or having to save as jpeg and Krita for everything? (if there was some shortcut that saved as both like that simultaneously, I'd be fine with that). Thank you.

Don't use jpeg for save, use it only when you want to publish final result.
Use .kra files to save work and continue on it later. Yes, after work is finished I have both files on disk - published jpeg and source .kra file, but during work there is no need to have jpeg/png. |

But I can't see what I've been working on in .kra and I usually work on anywhere between 1-3 different unpublished pieces of work a day :s |
